Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. Her reporting in Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell has worked at Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. O'Dell, as well as being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She co-hosted several of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
